Journalism 2 Task 3D
Article
Wow Wow Wow!
This season’s premier league was extraordinary, fabulous and extremely insane
and unpredictable. This is due to the fact that Leicester were premier league
champions for the first time in their 150 years of the club. Aston Villa once
champions of Europe were relegated in April which not many predicted at the
start of the season. The previous champions Chelsea finished 9th the
worst ever position as defending champions. Manchester United disappointingly
finished just outside the top 4.
The bookies
at the start of the season put Leicester 500/1 to win the league. Many people
thought that Leicester would be relegated and there manager Claudio Ranieri
there manager to be sacked first. Paul Merson said at the start of the season,
“Leicester have not got a chance especially not with Claudio”. You could clearly see they were predicted by
pundits to finish 18th or below.
I
interviewed many premier league fans to get there overview or take of this
seasons premier league 2015/16. The
first Person I interviewed was Michael, a Manchester United fan. This is what
he had to say about the season. “I am really disappointed because Manchester
United finished outside the top 4 but really glad that we added another huge
trophy to our cabinet, yes indeed the FA Cup”!
I then
interviewed another fan who is a West Ham supporter named Anthony and this is
what he had to say, “At the start of the season I was not expecting to finish
as high up the table as we did because I predicted us to finish in the bottom
half of the table. Well I was proven wrong because with the likes of Dimitri
Payet and Lanzini we were able to finish in the top ten and we also booked our
place in next season Europa League which was phenomenal so overall it was a
fantastic season for us”.
I also interviewed a Spurs, Arsenal, and
Chelsea fan and this is what they concluded about their season, “We had a good
season as we accomplished our mission in getting into the top 4 and making
champion’s league but in contrast to that our only downfall was allowing
arsenal to leap frog us in the league on the final day”. “Another season that
arsenal couldn’t win the league which is worrying. The only positive we can
take Is that we passed spurs in the league who were battling for the title”.
“We had a horrific season and pray we expand on that with the funds and
transfer budget we have.

Journalism Account
I came up with 3 ideas that I could possibly use to discount.
Football (Premier league predictions article)
Reality TV Shows
Gaming
All 3 of these ideas are leisure. I felt that these were all good ideas as these activities are things many people like to do. Although of this I have chosen the Premier league football predictions article over the other choices. This is due to me feeling that this would engage the most people. I also have a lot of knowledge in this area to be able to question people and understand the feelings of each person.
Purpose- The purpose of my magazine article is to entertain the audience with humour and I feel asking premier league questions is the best way to get those responses.
Platform- It is going to be a piece of journalism for an e-magazine.
Audience- My Audience is targeted at both male and female football fans that watch the premier league all know briefly about it. (All Ages)
Reality TV and gaming would have been good as also many people are in to these things. But I felt that I would kind of slack back because I do not have the knowledge in those areas in contrast to the Premier league. In my audience feedback, my peers gave me the heads up that I should go with premier league as it is much better to produce an article with. This strongly made me go with this idea.
